Model has approximately 130 flights on it now. Started life with a HXT outrunner and flew fine until the bearings gave out at 50 flights. AXI 5330/F3A powered it for about 20 flights until I switched to the Neu F3A. Been happy with the motor and power, just trying to dial in the plane and settle on a prop. Using 20.5x14 now as an all around prop, but the 21x13W is great on calm days. Airplane has zero mix, and is sitting right at 11 lbs. Flys like a dream, just wish I flew as well as it does.

Great power and airframe combo. The Neu F3A motor has good midrange torque and a
wide power band. My airframe currently weighs 5030g but by swapping over to a
730mah pack instead of my 910, swapping out my wheels, and changing my prop adapter
to an Axi style I can be under 4985.
"I don't have a data logger so I can't provide any flight data statistics. I
can only say so far that it seems to have quite a bit more power (both top
end RPM and torque) than my Axi or Dualsky. I have been running between
3000 and 3500 mah per flight (FAI P09). I've been flying with more throttle
than necessary just because I love the power and have been "lead footing"
the verticals just to see what it will do."

These weights are out of the box before assembly, white base coat. Both airplanes
finished under 10 lbs (before paint...one A60, one C50, 1200gm batteries.) Radio,
motor, batteries, accessories, glue, etc added 5.9 lbs on both planes. Bottom line
- look for an airframe under 5 lbs when considering electric power.

This is a transition airplane for me to get used to flying an electric-powered R/C
aerobatic airplane. It looks good in the air, despite the wing span of 69".
It does not seem that small in the air. Being an ARF, it was fairly easy to get
ready to fly. The Dualsky 6350-CA16 is a 2000 watt motor and produces more than
enough power for the Spot-O. One dramatic change from other e-powered R/C aerobatic
airplanes that I've seen is that the lipos are almost fully exposed. In trying
to get the batteries situated in the airplane, I discovered that I couldn't put
them in the fuselage and get the CG far enough back. This airplane has a belly pan
and it is intended to have a pipe run through a belly pan tunnel. I removed the
pipe tunnel and cut enough of the bottom of the belly pan to accept two 5S-4500 mah
packs. I looped two velcro straps over the wing center rib to help retain the
batteries. The batteries are essentially flush with the bottom of the belly pan and
are exposed to cooling air on three sides. The packs are always cool upon landing.
I use less than 2900 mah in a typical Master-class flight, so the 4000 mah packs are
pretty lightly stressed. On a side note, I learned the hard way that I should have
used the Jeti Opto 90 Spin ESC, NOT the Advance Plus. The Advance Plus has
"automatic throttle travel setting" which requires that I
"fool" it with an elaborate startup sequence to get the throttle response
I want. The Jeti Opto 90 Spin ESC has "manual throttle travel setting"
and the throttle setting needs to be made only once.
